This is an excellent book on laboratory methods in optics. It is essential for anyone who works in an optics lab. It has a very honest description of benefits, drawbacks, and important things to know about optical components. I often consult it before purchasing optical components, too. It has a lot of information that is not in vendors' catalogs.
