About the author (2015)

Michael Ballinger is an entrepreneur and life student.  Son of a Vietnam Vet/Firefighter and surrounded by family and friends in law enforcement, firefighting, military and the legal community, Michael has made it his lifelong mission to be prepared for whatever is thrown at him in life.

He does not consider himself a prepper, per se, but Michael’s concerns for the safety of his family and friends have driven him to an exhaustive research on being prepared for a disaster.  His zealous fervor for educating himself on everything there is to know about a subject has served him well in his life.  The information compiled was originally for his family and friends but eventually led to the writing of this book for the benefit of the masses.

His passion has made him successful in his entrepreneurial ventures as an award-winning radio show host, in business management and as a Certified Mortgage Planner.  It is obvious that Michael is not only a survivor, but one that is willing to lead the pack.
