I got this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. Hes a pool fanatic plays on several leagues and plays a great game of pool. He loves learning new things but I wasnt sure he would like this. Well its an awesome choice! Even for and advanced palyer. Read full review

Along with works by Alciatore, Fels, Capelle and Martin, this is one of the top 5 most important books for any non-novice pool player. Absolutely essential material. Even new-ish players can derive some benefit from this but they should start with "Byrne's New Standard Book of Pool and Billiards".

About the author (1990)

Robert Byrne has won numerous tournaments including the National Senior and National Amateur tournaments in three-cushion billiards. Named best billiard writer" by Billiards Digest , his books and videos on pool have sold nearly a million copies. Inducted into the Billiard Congress of America's Hall of Fame in 2000, he lives in Dubuque, Iowa.
