Fascinating story of a German Luftwaffe soldier who volunteered to become a spy and go behind German lines to obtain information. Great detail, binding dialogue, it gives one a true feeling of the conditions in Germany in 1945. Read full review

The book, in novel form,. is an attempt by a former Army intelligence officer to pay homage to a German Air Force corporal who, after his capture, volunteered to be parachuted back into Germany to gather intelligence for us. In it he imagines the young journey and his efforts to collect and deliver intelligence back to the Americans
The effort results in a story that is totally gripping..
