About the author (1999)

Linzer was raised in South Dakota. She graduated from Augustana College with a major in English and completed her graduate course work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication. After a 15 year career in public relations, she served as executive director of the Arizona Center for the Book, an affiliate of the National Center for the Book at the Library of Congress.
