About the author (2010)

Catina White-Higgins is a mother of four children who's had her share of misfortunes. She frequently speaks of bouts of sexual abuse as a child, financial ruin, unhappiness and other lifelong pain's. Catina's faith in God plays a big part in her strong will to live through such a terrible set of ordeals. The near-death of her youngest son Camryn was the last straw that causes her to sink in a pit of sadness, so deep that she can't see her way out at first. Camryn gives hope and encouragement to his mother through his positive dealing and endurance with being tragically injured during an explosion. The explosion was caused by a freak accident in the back yard of their Texas home. She thought that her life was over because of this and as she sits in the hospital where he lay, she revisits every bit of unfortunate circumstance that had ever come her way. She is tainted and harassed by these series of events that challenged her belief and knocked her to her knees. She spends her days looking for a way to deal with past pain while coping with the aftermath of Camryn's Fire.
