Secrets to Feeding Dogs for Optimum Cellular Health and Longevity Revealed in Groundbreaking New Book Vibrant health begins in the cells. Learn how to transform your dog's cellular health with the power of nutrigenomics in this ground-breaking new book. Nutrigenomics (a combination of the words nutrition and genome) is the study of how the foods we and our pets eat "speak" to our cells to regulate gene expression, which in turn plays a huge role in determining whether a person or animal will live a life of vibrant health, or one plagued by illness. Scientists now know that while we can't change the genes we are born with, we can change how those genes behave, which is exactly what authors W. Jean Dodds, DVM and Diana Laverdure show us how to do in their newest book, Canine Nutrigenomics: The New Science of Feeding Your Dog for Optimum Health from Dogwise Publishing. Read Canine Nutrigenomics and discover: How to tell which foods create optimum gene expression and vibrant health at the cellular level and which foods lead to chronic disease. The amazing healing power of functional foods. The "Three Keys" to easily creating a foundation diet for your dog based on the principles of nutrigenomics. How to use functional ingredients to treat, manage and even reverse a wide variety of chronic canine health conditions. The 10 "canine functional superfoods" and how they can supercharge your dog's health by optimizing his gene expression. The signs of a food intolerance/sensitivity and how to stop it in its tracks. And much more! You can't change your dog's genes, but you can change how those genes behave when you read Canine Nutrigenomics: The New Science of Feeding Your Dog for Optimum Health! Your dog's diet "speaks" to his cells! Nutrigenomics is the new science of how diet affects gene expression at the cellular level, creating vibrant health or chronic disease. Optimum health begins in the cells-and this book shows you how to achieve it for your dog!

I was just waiting for this book, as I thought it would give me specifics of what I should be feeling my 2 yr. old intact female golden retriever w/ allergies? Before buying this book, it's described as with info. about the ten superfoods that we should look at for our best friends' nutrition. So far, I haven't seen anything that easy to comprehend. I need to cure her itching or our lives are jeopardized forever. I been feeding her better than myself with the best meats from wholefoods, and Safeway so far. Dr. Richard Pitcairn's book says to use brown rice or millet but isn't that carbs? Should I steam the beef ribs and bones for 5 minutes or completely raw? I use a little sea salt, garlic, and now I'm mixed up. I communicated w/ Mark Poveromo, who has a master's in animal nutrition. He said to use vital essentials but no place here on Oahu sells that. I used to use Primal a little while but she seemed to not like it. Mark said, "no Primal Gary, way too much carbs, you got my book, try the recipes". I looked at Canine Nutrigenomecs' index for recipes but none. Anyway, Dr. Jean Dodds told me about the book, but I have to make my Brandy2 of akc happy. This so called allergy is consuming our lives, incl. my Mom who will be 87 yrs. old on February 29th, leap year. I really feel that vaccinating her for cores in January of 2014, triggered it,, as I asked for titers and that vet suggested to do this and wait 3 yrs. and see. I should've declined as I didn't know what I know now. About 3 mos after, she itched. I am discontinuing the immuno therapy droppers by Animal allergy specialists and I'll finish this review later...
