Joseph Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) was an English author and poet, born in India, and best known today for his children's books. He is regarded as an innovator in the art of the short story; his children's books are enduring classics. "Captains Courageous" is a wonderful story of a pampered and rich boywho grows up through responsibility, hard work, trust, and honor.
