About the author (2009)

Julius Gunser Karnwie was born in Liberia to native parents.  The poet was promoted from the sixth grade to the ninth grade at the onset of the war toward the end of 1989.  This war would ultimately cost Mr. Karnwie his father, an event which spurred a move to the neighboring Ivory Coast.  He continued his education in Ghana where he attended Takoradi Polytechnic and earned his diploma in accounting.  Mr. Karnwie enjoys reading and listening to gospel and classical music.  He remains passionate about writing as he expects to complete a second book in the future.
