About the author (2004)

For the last 20 years Arthur Ward has collected examples of early airfix kits and a wide range of other manufacturere(tm)s models, seeing nothing odd about his eccentric passion, e~saves them for posteritye(tm).

He is the leading expert on the history of model kits and his first book e~The Model World of e~Airfixe(tm) was published in 1984.

In 1999 Arthur published e~Airfixe(tm), a comprehensive history of the worlde(tm)s favorite kits.

Arthur Ward is married with two children and lives in West Sussex.
