About the author (2001)

Najarian is a pastor, missionary, and author. He was born in Egypt, later his parents moved to Jerusalem where he was raised. He holds A.B., Th.B., and B.D. degrees. He became a naturalized citizen of the U.S. in 1958. He and his wife then began a 25 year missionary career in the Middle East, Caribbean, and Africa.

Knight serves as general superintendent for the Church of the Nazarene. Before his election (1985), he was an active member of the general church as a college president, professor, and pastor. Knight is also the author of numerous articles and books.
