About the author (2009)

Alma de la Melena Cox began her artistic career in fiber art and her award-winning quilts soon gave way to painting and then fabric collage. Her work has been featured in numerous local Oregon newspapers and most recently in Cloth Paper Scissors. Alma has won several awards for her quilts including a Judge's Choice award from the Quilting Arts calendar contest. Her work can be seen at www.almaart.com.
