Pierre Calvet was a merchant who lived in the little town of Lacaune, in that "Huguenot Valley" a few miles southest of Albi in the south of France. He was born ca. 1630 and he died in Lacaune 3 October 1682. He married twice. His first wife was Isabeau Pages, who preceded him in death by many years. Her will was dated 18 November 1656. They had at least three children: Raymond, Jean and daughter Marie. The second marriage was to Rose Cadenat, who died prior to 1679. They had at least one son, Isaac, who married Isabeau Azais on 4 May 1679. The American descendants come through Pierre's first marriage.
