The powerful Camden Cougars are used to winning.  Then the graduation of several key players and Coach Reilly’s decision to skip retirement at the risk of his own legacy leaves the town questioning its team and coach.  The team’s inexperience and lack of leadership lead to an early season loss ending their twenty-six game win streak.  To unite the team and the town Matt leans on senior Tyler Lampert.  Tyler’s hard work, determination and leadership lift the team.  Now if Tyler can only tell his best friend how he really feels about her.

About the author (2006)

Troy grew up in the small town of Luxemburg, Wisconsin.  From childhood through high school he was actively involved in sports, especially football (three varsity letters) and wrestling.  He accumulated 6 varsity letters in all and was named an all-conference scholar-athlete his senior year.  After high school, he went on to graduate at the top of his class from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with an Associate Degree in Architectural Drafting.  Two years later he left his full-time job in an attempt to fulfill his dream of writing a novel and has since completed this, his first manuscript.


Troy married in June of 2005.  They currently reside in Davenport, Iowa, where his wife is a student at Palmer College of Chiropractic.
