About the author (1996)

Author Nick Hanna has worked for a number of national and international newspapers and magazines and has written close to a dozen guidebooks. Some of the titles include Passport's Illustrated Travel Guide to Singapore and Malaysia; Passport's Illustrated Travel Guide to New Zealand; Crete: Globetrotter Travel Guide; London: Globetrotter Travel Guide; and The BMW Tropical Beach Handbook. In the guide, The Millennium: A Rough Guide to the Year 2000, Hanna focuses on the festivals, projects, media events, and other activities surrounding the millennium. The 264-page pocket-sized handbook also includes a millennium FAQs section and a chapter dealing with different countries around the world.
