About the author (1998)

Michelle Arnot has been "puzzling" people for 20 years as a crossword constructor and publisher of numerous national puzzle magazines. Michelle taught puzzle-solving courses and served as the first host of the Official Publications sponsored American Crossword Tournament. She is also the author of Crossword Puzzles For Dummies and the definitive What's Gnu: History of the Crossword Puzzle, as well as the editor of 101 Crossword Puzzles For Dummies, Volumes 1 and 2.
