In the year 2052, Dr. David Arigo creates an implant that rebuilds the mind, over only a few years, to think and act at a normal human level. Arigo's hard work takes a new direction when the government becomes involved and pushes for the implant to be used in animals, drawing out human intelligence, while leaving the heightened instincts of the animal intact. When artificial organs and body parts are used with the enhanced animal minds to create vicious combat cyborgs, Dr. Arigo fights to stop his technology from being used for war. In a separate government controlled facility where some of the most top-secret findings in America are hidden and studied, several of these new war machines escape. Nearly unstoppable combat cybernals start a massive killing spree to defy mankind, and the only one capable of taking them down, is a four-foot tall armadillo cybernal, Arigo's own creation, Vortex. As the armadillo's world falls apart, his fate leads him on an incredible adventure to find his hidden potential, and neutralize not only the renegade cybernals, but a much greater threat from another world as well.
