About the author (2007)

Poete et auteur dramatique francais, Edmond Rostand (1868-1918) connait, apres des essais infructueux en poesie et au theatre, un succes immense et international avec "Cyrano de Bergerac" puis avec "L'Aiglon". Il entre a l'Academie francaise en 1901, date a laquelle il se retire au pays basque, en raison de sa sante fragile.
