When Danny sees a wild duck sitting on her nest near the playground, he doesn't tell a soul--not even his teacher. But one day, the nest is empty and Danny is sad. So why is teacher smiling? Crebbin's spare text tells as much about a shy boy and a wise teacher as it does about watching animals.
