About the author (1998)

Eileen Jahnke Trestain was raised in a small town outside Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has always spent much of her time in art and craft pursuits. At the age of 10, her grandmother introduced her to quilting, which began a lifelong interest. She continued her interest in quilting and began to collect and study quilting patterns. With the encouragement of friends, Eileen began producing her own line of patterns under the business name of Peonies Needlework Crafts.
