About the author (2005)

My name is Bonnie Ramey Standridge. I''m from Feds Creek, Kentucky. I live in Anderson, South Carolina.I am 33 years old. I am married to Michael Standridge. I have a 14 year old son named Keith Slate. I wrote my book "Death Surrounds Her" 16 years ago. I am now writing a sequel to this book called "Death Surrounds Him." I grew up in a home with two sisters and two brothers. My father is a retired coal miner and my mother was a nurse. I was a substitute teacher in South Carolina, but now I write. I like to Bowl. I''m on a Bowling League. My husband and I enjoy gathering our friends and going to the beach for cook-outs and swimming. But my favorite thing is horror. I watch all horror movies that has ever come out. Have read a few horror books. I even married my husband on Halloween. My friends say I''m spooky because of my love for scary things. My son Keith also likes scary things. We have Halloween parties and I like dressing up as evil as possible. I tease out my hair and my husband puts fake blood all over me. Actually, last year 2004 my make-up was what really brought the memories of Peggy one of the characters in my book out. I scared a lot of kids with that make-up. That''s when I decided it was time for Peggy to come out in my book. Hiding her for 16 years is long enough. I had nightmares while writing this book. Peggy is my favorite character. She''s why I had the nightmares. I hope you get the scare she gave me while I created her. Have nice dreams when you read my new book.
