A man returns to Boston in 2026, and finds a tunnel, started in the 1990s, not only still being worked on, but has been continued all the way to New York. A newly elected Congressman is given a portrait-copy of a photo of himself, that appeared in Vanity Fair magazine -- and it seems to be taking on a life of its own. Another man, just to be able to keep going, finds he must near-constantly be going to museums.
