I purchased this book before attending the Theatre Ontario Festival in Sault Ste Marie 2012. Annette was the adjudicator and I felt I needed to make sure I knew what kind of things she looked for when adjudicating a festival. I found the book most informative. Annette goes right into the basics of production, directing and performance. I believe anybody who is about to take their production to a festival needs to read this book. And even if you're not competing in a festival read this because it's very valuable information to help any production a success. I highly recommend this book.
