About the author (2008)

Halina Pasierbska was Curator of Dolls' Houses and Toys at the Victoria & Albert Museum until 2005. She has organized several exhibitions including Wooden Toys (1990) and Must-have Toys (2004-5) which won the Museums and Heritage Award for Best Temporary Exhibition 2005. She has also written another book (Dolls' House Furniture) and several articles on toys and dolls' houses and has taken part in television programmes on the subject.
