About the author (1974)

BERNARD WOLF is a distinguished photojournalist who has traveled throughout the United States and the world to create his acclaimed photo-essays for children. His seventeen published books for young readers include If I Forget Thee, O Jerusalem; Homeless; Beneath the Stone; and HIV Positive, a Booklist Editors' Choice.

Bernard Wolf's work has also appeared in Time-Life Books, as well as Fortune, National Geographic Traveler, and other magazines. Mr. Wolf lives in New York City.
