As a member of the Open Source ERP project, ADempiere, we are fully aware that ERP is only 10% code, and the rest of it is good old subject matter expertise. I am fortunate to have lifted off this book from an accountant friend, and having studied it laborously found it invaluable in its insight and sure footed experiences in what ERP implementation really means.
Certain advice are wondrous and precise such as the margin of error allowed in inventory control, the priority of business operations vs ERP works, and the classification of ERP performance to be chosen on the onset of the project.
This is one book you want to be marooned on the ERP island with.

THOMAS F. WALLACE has spent his career writing, teaching, and helping manufacturing enterprises to operate better. He is currently a Distinguished Fellow of The Ohio State University's Center for Excellence in Manufacturing Management.
MICHAEL H. KREMZAR recently retired from his position as Vice President of Product Supply at Procter & Gamble, where he worked for nearly forty years. During that time he was a catalyst and leader in P&G's highly successful implementation of global ERP.
