Henri Gougaud est originaire de la region de Carcassonne. Mere institutrice, pere cheminot. Racines paysannes, anarchie et syndicalisme seront son heritage. Poete, romancier, nouvelliste, conteur, il fut aussi un homme de radio et le parolier de Jean Ferrat, Juliette Greco ou des Freres Jacques. Ce troubadour d aujourd hui se nourrit de legendes ou recits populaires d Europe ou d Orient pour retrouver la ferveur ancestrale de la tradition orale.
