En este libro ilustrado para niņos hay mucha hambre en la casa de doņa Paquita. Manda a su hijo Paquito a buscar fortuna en la calle. Paquito encuentra un cordoncito y comienza a girarlo como si fuera la reata de un charro. Otro niņo quiere probarlo y se lo cambia por su trompo. Paquito anda haciendo ese tipo de intercambios hasta que puede comprar comida para la casa.

About the author (1998)

Vicente Leņero was born June 9, 1933, in Guadalajara, Mexico. Before enrolling in journalism school, he studied engineering at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in Mexico City. As a journalist in the 1970s, he helped found the newsweekly Proceso. He wrote several books including Los Albaņiles (The Bricklayers). His plays included Martirio de Morelos (The Martyrdom of Morelos), Nadie Sabe Nada (Nobody Knows Anything), and a stage adaptation of The Children of Sanchez. His screenplays included El Crimen del Padre Amaro (The Crime of Father Amaro) and The Alley of Miracles. He died from lung cancer on December 3, 2014 at the age of 81.
