About the author (2009)

Lawrence E. Sullivan is a professor of both theology and anthropology at the University of Notre Dame. He served as director of the Center for the Study of World Religions at Harvard University and professor of world religions at the Harvard Divinity School. He is the author and editor of several books and has received numerous awards for his work. He lives in South Bend, Indiana.
