Engaging the Powers: 25th Anniversary Edition

Front Cover
Fortress Press, Oct 15, 2017 - Religion - 520 pages

In this brilliant culmination of his seminal Powers Trilogy, now reissued in a twenty-fifth anniversary edition, Walter Wink explores the problem of evil today and how it relates to the New Testament concept of principalities and powers. He asks the question, "How can we oppose evil without creating new evils and being made evil ourselves?"

Winner of the Pax Christi Award, the Academy of Parish Clergy Book of the Year, and the Midwest Book Achievement Award for Best Religious Book.

This brilliant, insightful book literally transformed my life. I am reading it for the third time in 20 years and every time that I do, I find that it has truly shaped my worldview as I have continued to pursue God’s sight. I wish I knew that it had been translated and read in many languages. Truly in this work, the veil cast upon all nations is revealed.
If I had any influence, I would require it to be read in every seminary in the land and by every politician that gains office.
