About the author (2005)

L'historien, auteur, professeur et avocat Mark Vinet est né en 1964 à Sorel au Québec et a grandi dans la ville de Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. De par sa généalogie et son éducation, il possède un héritage biculturel et bilingue. Il est le fondateur de L'Institut Historique de L'Amérique du Nord et de L'Association de la Guerre de Sécession Américaine du Québec/Canada, qui produisent une série de conférences de Mark Vinet sur le Québec/Canada et la Guerre de Sécession Américaine. Il est l'auteur du livre intitulé: CANADA AND THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR: Prelude To War. Il prépare présentement une suite à ce livre dont le titre sera: THE ROAD TO SECESSION: Canada and the American Civil War. Il s'apprête également à publier un deuxième livre en français sur le Québec/Canada et la Guerre de Sécession Américaine. Mark Vinet est aussi l'animateur de l'émission de radio.
