About the author (2008)

Jim West has logged millions of nautical miles as a cruise director and doles out the answers to cruise questions with wit and style. He has sailed on hundreds of cruises, explored all seven continents, and traveled to over fifty countries. He has hosted a weekly travel radio program, written a travel column, and personally organizes and plans cruises for individuals and groups. Jim lives in Spring Valley, Illinois.
