About the author (2008)

Susan Mayseis a fourth generation Vancouver Islander who grew up on stories of the mining towns of Cumberland, Bevan, Nanaimo and Wellington. She has written for many national and international publications and is also the authorMerlin's WebandGinger: The Life and Death of Albert Goodwin, a BC Bestseller and winner of the Arthur Ellis Award for True Crime and the Edna Staebler Award for Creative Non-Fiction.

Gerald Truscottwas born and raised in British Columbia. He has written fiction and non-fiction on a variety of subjects, and several of his short stories and articles have appeared in magazines and anthologies. This is his first book.
