Exposure: 20 Years of Photographing the World
Westcliffe Publishers, 1997 - Photography - 126 pages
Photography is an essential part of what "Outside" is all about. And so, to celebrate the magazine's 20th anniversary, the editors have collected the most stunning, provocative, and artful images to appear in the magazine's pages from 1977 through 1997. Presented here is the work of some of the medium's most recognized names: Michael Nichols, Richard Misrach, Raymond Weeks, and Dan Winters, to name a few. In keeping with the magazine's mission to take risks and welcome new perspectives, however, displayed here also is the work of lesser-known photographers, whose talents ensure they won't stay obscure for long.
