About the author (1997)

Writer Sarah Lovett has a degree in criminal justice and has studied psychology. She worked as a legal researcher for the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General, an executive director of a non-profit theater, and in the New Mexico State Penitentiary. She writes the Dr. Sylvia Strange series as well as children's nonfiction travel and science books. She currently lives with her husband in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Illustrator Mary Sundstrom resides in Albuquerque.

Sally Blakemore of Arty Projects Studio, Ltd., has created and produced pop-up books for 15 years. She lives in Santa Fe.
