About the author (2009)

Valerie Angel’s first poem won a prize; her first play was bought by the BBC. She has had amateur success at South London Theatre and Leicestershire Playwrights and was the oldest woman to sail windward around the world in the first Global Challenge. She has worked in Hong Kong, Poland, Spain and Sri Lanka and is now happily retired in the mountains of Portugal.
