About the author (2003)

Toni Gilliam is an educator in an elementary suburban Michigan Public School. She is married and has two adult sons. Her family and the students she teach are the catalysts that spark and inspire her creativity. She enjoys writing poetry for pleasure. Her philosophy is teaching children that their minds are learning tools that must be used throughout their lives.
