Fantasmas de carne y hueso

Front Cover
Tusquets Editores, 1993 - Fiction - 239 pages
These are real life ghosts because they live in the memory of the author, as they could live in anybody else's memory. Some are very present whereas others lie half hidden in a corner of his mind, sometimes they unfold in confusing visions and others they become shadows that appear in vague dreams and failed sensations, and they never fully appear. Eight short stories peopled by ghosts, all of them preceded by a warning in which the author seems to confess that even though he lets himself be invaded uncontrollably by these feverish presences, he owes them the fact of being a writer, since he extracts from them the sap that feeds his characters, and thanks to them he creates and recreates stories.
