Although feng shui became trendy in the 1990's, it is still misunderstood by many Westerners. Most books on the subject are filled with inaccuracies that portray feng shui as nothing more than placebos and symbolic gestures. Kartar Diamond's Feng Shui for Skeptics: Real Solutions Without Superstition, explains a complex subject in a user-friendly way. It begins with an overview of feng shui as a metaphysical earth science. Diamond discusses clearly how it affects your health and well being. She details how shapes and architecture have predictable impact on people with interpretations of dozens of design concepts. Chapter 5 offers a series of fascinating case studies, including the Divorce House, the Creative House, the Crime House, the Crazy House, the Infertile House, the Romance House, and the Wealth House. Additional chapters describe how accidents, specific health problems and sleep disturbances can be a result of a problem environment.
