Ferrets are playful little animals and make excellent pets for attentive owners. However, they are not recommended as pets for younger children. Here is reliable information on feeding, caging, health care, and more. All titles in Barron?s profusely-illustratedComplete Pet Owner?s Manualsintroduce inexperienced and prospective pet owners to the pleasures and duties of pet care. They also make ideal guides for older children having their first experiences as animal caretakers. Attractively illustrated and filled with helpful information, Barron?s Complete Pet Owner?s Manualsadvise on purchasing, housing, feeding, health care?and where applicable, grooming and training pets. Each book is individually written by an expert?a trainer, breeder, veterinarian, or other animal specialist. These manuals cover every popular dog and cat breed, as well as bird varieties, hamsters and other small caged animals, fish varieties for aquarium hobbyists, terrarium pets, and even exotics, such as reptiles, amphibians, and scorpions. All books have 70 or more color photos, and most also have instructive line illustrations.

This is a good beginners book on ferret care, however the information in it is very limited. Since there are very few ferret books on the market it is worth getting your hands on any that are available, if you want to be the best ferret owner that you can be. I think this is one of the first books that I was able to find in Australia and was very happy with it at the time.
These days there are more ferret books on the market with a wider variety of information, which are probably a better buy.
Also you can find heaps of ferret information on the internet that is constantly updated such as ferret society websites (which can be found in nearly every country where ferrets exist around the world), Ferret-World (http://www.Ferret-World.com) and other fantastic websites.
Hope this review has helped! :)
