At First Light recreates the earthy, crude qualities of medieval castle life in the highlands--   lords, sans scruples, proposing lust and love… Courtly love… Ladies dressed in shimmering satin… for their dance with Satan.  In the center, Fiona of Castle Baine yearns for fulfillment, seemingly unprepared for bizarre happenings…  prevailing wickedness…revenge…  two brothers’ rivalry and greed…   mysterious plots… magical potions… murder!  Will the ancient rituals of Una, the Mystic of the Swamp, succeed in coaxing the mighty spirits to protect Fiona from the secrets of the grave? Perhaps…  Evil is as evil does.

This legend of deadly deceptions and eristic justice touches the inner thoughts of one tumultuous era.  The ending has a turn and twist to be savored.

About the author (2005)

The authors present an intriguing, fast moving fantasy of medieval castle life in the Highlands of Eire.

Mirror twins…identical, one an intellect, with a Ph.D.  Right-handed … winner of awards, from teacher…  to Alumni of the year. The other, left-handed, a feisty tennis player with killer instincts… winner of poetic tribute… Both early writers of macabre short stories.

And herein lies the rub… they defy you to differentiate between the places where one begins the sentence and the other ends it! Who is dotting the i’s? Who crossed the t’s? Be aware, born under the sign of Scorpio… both love the touch of the unknown and all secrets hidden within… They bring bizarre twists and magical wit to their writing.
