Florian is fascinated by the pictures on his wallpaper: mountains, valleys, forests, and animals, a church, a castle, and a rainbow. Suddenly, he is small enough to be a part of the scene, and so are his Wurstel puppet and his pet dog and parrot. They climb aboard the toy train, and off they go! First, the four brave friends frighten off a bandit, and claim his treasure trove. Next they meet an old beggar who is really an enchanted prince. Florian's kindness frees the prince from the spell an evil wizard cast on him years before. But the prince's sister is still imprisoned in a magic tree. To rescue her, Florian and his friends must defeat a giant knight, a dragon, and a tiger. They are well rewarded by the grateful prince before Florian wakes up in his mother's arms.
