About the author (2012)

Bonnie Walker has been a food and wine writer and freelance editor in San Antonio for more than 17 years. A co-founder of food blog SavorSa, as well as writer and editor, Walker is a former editor of San Antonio Taste magazine and was food writer for the San Antonio Express-News for nearly 15 years. She judges major wine competitions, is a board member of Culinaria and is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier, an international service organization for women in the culinary fields.

John Griffin is a freelance editor and award-winning writer, specializing in restaurant criticism, food, wine and travel. He moved to San Antonio in 1999 from Sarasota, Fla., to become dining editor for the San Antonio Express-News. He is the co-founder of food blog SavorSA, a former editor of San Antonio Taste magazine and contributor to Destinations, a local guide on food, events and travel in the San Antonio area.
