About the author (2018)

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Kirsten Evans began her formal ballet training with Festival Ballet Providence at age 11. She progressed through the levels of the school, performing as a member of the Junior Company before being hired as a Trainee to the company in 2010, upon her graduation from The Providence Country Day School. Kirsten has since performed numerous principal roles with the company, where she is currently dancing her ninth season.Always apt to nourish her immense curiosity, Ms. Evans is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts/Journalism from Providence College, while also serving as the Marketing Assistant for Festival Ballet.Kirsten chronicles her adventures onstage and off on her personal blog, Setting The Barre.
