I purchased Desi's Fretboard Guitar Theory as a whole kit with books, matching DVDs and on line theory. Wait that is not all! I'm also able to contact Desi via email if I have a qustion to ask. He is very helpful and encouraging. While learning whole Pentatonic scales and memorising them is slow and new to me I am able to now see how scales can be used to play various riffs. Such riffs are from the 70's dico song "Lady Marmalade". The cost of the whole Fretboard Guitar Theory is approximately the cost of 10 guitar lessons except you have them all for life and work at your own pace. Thanks Desi.

Fretboard Theory and Fretboard Theory 2 are must haves for any serious guitar or bass player.
I have worked through both books and my ability to understand popular songs has vastly increased. This
goes well beyond reading music, and takes you into areas such as song keys, key changes, modes, changing of modes throughout the song. You will be able to pick up chords lead lines and bass lines much more quickly after working through these programs.
If books don't thrill you, look for Fretboard Theory Volume 2 in DVD form.
You will not regret these purchases, I guarantee it!
