Support popular childrens' studies of animals, the farm, pets, and even human development with birth-to-reproduction life cycle resources. Large photos and easy text describe how animals move, feed, grow, use their senses, and reproduce. Opening with a newborn animal, each title follows a creature's growth and development to adulthood. The role of a caregiver-farmer, veterinarian, or owner-underscores the need for special care and gentle handling.

About the author (2001)

Jillian Powell started writing when she was very young. She loved having a giant pad of paper and some pens or crayons in front of her. She made up newspaper stories about jewel thieves and spies. Jillian's parents still have her early stories, complete with crayon illustrations!
