From Strength to Strength: A Manual for Professionals who Facilitate Diverse Parent Groups
This resource for facilitators has core sections for use with mainstream parent groups and specialist sections for groups in which other factors impact on parents' capacity to parent effectively. The core modules provide developmentally appropriate sessions for use with parents who have children in different age groups. The specialist modules provide background information for facilitating parent groups which share similar, specific characteristics, such as : adolescent parents, Indigenous Australian parents, grandparents as primary carers, step and blended families, parents from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, parents of children with special needs, parenting children in out-of-home care, and sole parents.
