I have only perused one section. However, if the discussion and diagrams for folded plate roof design are representative.......there is much to be desired. Any force diagram must of course be a "free-body" that includes ALL forces necessary to provide a stable free-body. Diagrams provided for the folded plate explanation are defective (or at best very misleading) due to the lack of all necessary forces for a stable free-body. For example, the diagram showing vertical load at the ridge being resisted by two inclined internal forces in the opposing inclined plates fails to show the necessary external reaction forces (either inclined or vertical & horizontal components) at base edge of each plate.
