George Robertson: A Publishing Life in Letters
University of Queensland Press, 1993 - Booksellers and bookselling - 225 pages
Presents correspondence to and from the co-founder of the Australian publishing firm, Angus & Robertson, along with linking text. It was first published by that publisher in 1982 as a large-format volume, illustrated throughout, and entitled 'Dear Robertson'. This edition has been redesigned and reset, but the content remains substantially the same. Includes a list of sources, an index of correspondents (such as Henry Lawson, Miles Franklin and Banjo Paterson) and a general index. The author's other works include 'What Happened When' and an account of the book editor Beatrice Davis, 'One of the First and One of the Finest'. Hardback edition available only from Bookworld and Angus&Robertson.
