Readers will enjoy this book because she writes from from the heart.  The book is loaded with vivid imagery, colorful characters, Barbados dialect with English translations, and a healthy dose of adventure. The personal lives of a wealthy interracial family in the island of Barbados sets the scene for complicated unions, tough choices, love, sex, and forgiveness.
